We are pretty sure that you have heard the famous word “Lycian Way” even once in your life. If not let us tell you a little bit more about the area and take you around so that you have a better grasp of our this cultural site.

Lycian way, one of the most picturesque routes in the world, is famous with being over 500 km long, starting from Hisarönü stretching to Antalya. It takes its name from the ancient civilization Lycia, which once ruled the area. Being Turkey’s very first long-distance walking route, it was made in order to identify and protect some of Turkey’s old roads. This 500 km long route has been a home for many trekkers, hikers, mountain bikers, as well as horseback riders and we definitely believe that now is your turn to discover the beauties of it and “travel in history” on horseback.

Join us and smell the fabulous forestry predominates; where pines are mixed with strawberry trees and carob, and give way to juniper and cedar at higher elevations while passing through the gates that open to the magnificent sea view. This tour is for experienced riders only, where we will be riding for 4-5 hours daily with well mannered, high-spirited Arab and Anatolian-Arab breed mares.

DAY 1 : Arrival & Meeting Day

You will arrive Dalaman Airport and private transfers will take you to your accommodation, which will be around the equestrian center. Here, you will meet the team and have dinner. After dinner, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a guest house or hotel for youn your lodging and relax for your first day on horseback.

DAY 2 : 25-30 km horseback ride from Patara to Dodurga

After a refreshing night sleep, you will enjoy delicious traditional Turkish breakfast accompanied by stunning sea view. Following the breakfast, you will depart to the equestrian center to meet the horses. First day’s route will start from the village of Karadere where the horses are located, passing by the castle of Pydynai and reach to the village of Bağlıca. Then following the Karadere Strait , you will reach the village of Dodurga where you will stay overnight, accompanied by the beautiful sea view. We think you will enjoy chatting by the fire during dinner. We advise you to keep warm because here you will experience a guest house or hotel accommodation.

DAY 3 : 25-30 km horseback ride from Dodurga to Kurucan Pınara

After breakfast, you will gallop to Boğazköy, which is surrounded by unique natural beauties. Along the way, you will pass the old windmill, Avlu and Boğaziçi districts and reach Kümbet. Here, you will enjoy a picnic lunch. After lunch, you will pass by the Ancient City of Kalbantia, the village of Alınca and end up in Dokuzgöl. After Dokuzgöl, you will reach the Ancient City of Kurucan (Sidyma) Pınara. Here, you will have another dinner by the fire and stay overnight in guest house or hotel.

DAY 4 : 25-30 km horseback ride from Sidyma to Saklıkent

After breakfast, you will start your day by riding through the Minare village, passing by Maçın road after the village of Alacak and finally you will reach Eşen River. Here, it will be great to enjoy a picnic lunch by the river. At post-lunch ride, you will pass through Karabükü and Kayadibi to reach the final destination Saklıkent Canyon, one of the deepest canyons, most beautiful and mystic spots in the world. Saklıkent Canyon is 18 kilometers long and is now declared a National Park. Summer is the best time to visit Saklıkent Canyon, as the canyon is deliciously cool and shady with cold water. You will have dinner here and stay overnight near Saklıkent Canyon.

DAY 5 : 25-30 km horseback ride from Saklıkent to Patara

After breakfast, you will depart from Saklıkent and ride to villages of Dinek and Balamut. Along the way you will pass by village of Çavdır and reach Ancient City of Santos which is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Passing by Karaköy, you will reach to Ancient City of Letoon.

After a long horseback ride on the Patara Beach which a world-famous paradise beach with soft sand and sand dunes and the turquoise blue sea, you will reach Karadere, the starting point. You will have another chance to taste local food during dinner at the restaurant. When it is time to have a good night rest, guest house or hotel will take away all the exhaustion you had.

DAY 6 : Rest Day

You will be mesmerized by the sea view you will wake up to. We are pretty sure that the smell of eggs cooked with butter, accumulated from the surrounding villages will enhance your traditional Turkish breakfast experience. Once you are done with breakfast, your private transfer will pick you up to take you to the guest house or hotel in Fethiye. Don’t worry! We made everything we could to make sure that you have some time for shopping before you leave. After some free time, you will have dinner and enjoy the last hours with the group.

DAY 7 : Departure Day

After the last breakfast at the hotel, you will be checking out and be transferred to Dalaman Airport for your flight.

The long and short courses will be determined according to the terrain conditions.

Accommodations will be arranged according to Covid-19 restrictions. However, at all times and in all conditions, the guests will be provided with comfortable accommodation.
