Each year, we are going on a special ride with just a few guests. We will load the horses and transfer them to other areas of Turkey where we will discover historical routes or follow the hoofprints of historic travelers.
In 2019 we will ride on the Phrygian way, along the traces of legendary king Midas. Join us on a ride on historic routes through the land of the ancient empire of the Phrygians.
Having done this ride in 2016, we were so impressed by the beauty of the landscape, the cultural heritage and the hospitality of the local people, that we have decided to do this journey again. More than that, the experiences made on the first trip have led us to making slight adjustments to the route so that we can see Midas City (near Yazılıkaya) with it’s most famous phrygian monuments. We will start in the area of Yazılıkaya and follow the Phrygian way south, visiting the phrygian monuments near Döğer and Ayazini.
After we finished our ride we visit the city of Kütahya and the impressive re- mains of the roman city of Aizanoi.
On the ride we will cover about 140 km in 6 days. The ride is suitable for experienced riders and less experienced riders with reasonable practice for several hours of riding.
