Day 1 : Arrive at Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport, transfer to your comfortable cave hotel in the historic town of Ortahisar, where you will stay for the whole week. Take a stroll around town or relax in the beautiful garden. Meet your host to talk about the riding program.
Day 2 : Transfer to the horses after breakfast. Today we ride to Özkonak where you will visit one of Cappadocia ́s famous underground cities. When excavated, the city revealed ten floors that could have housed 60,000 people for three months at a time, the first four floors are open for visitors.
After lunch we return over Ziyaretdagi Mountain to the ranch. If you wish, there is time to visit the ceramic and carpet stores in Avanos and the surrounding area.
Day 3 : Today we will ride to Sarihidir, a tiny fishing village on the Red River. After a short break we can enjoy a long canter along the river, before we pass a beautifully restored 13th century caravanserai where you will also see the whirling dervish performance. After lunch we will ride through the fairy chimneys of Zelve before returning to the ranch.
Day 4 : We ride to the magnificent Pasabagi Valley and on to Devrent Valley where you will see wonderful examples of fairy chimneys and interesting geological rock formations. We ride to Ortahisar where the horses will stay overnight near the hotel.
Day 5 : We start from the hotel in Ortahisar and ride to Mustafapasa, which is a Greek vilage, famous for the elaborate carvings on the houses. We stop for tea and then ride on through the Pancsarlik valleys to a trout farm where you have lunch. After a leisurely lunch return to Ortahisar through the beautiful Balkan Valley.
Day 6 : On our way back to the ranch, we pass the stunning fairy chimneys near Göreme before we enjoy a long canter in the plains. Later visit to the Göreme Open Air museum.
Day 7 : Transfer to Airport.
Stay in a comfortable cave hotel in Ortahisar. Full board with local specialities and available non-alcoholic drinks, lunch sometimes as picknick. Entrance fee to Göreme Open Air museum and dervish performance included.
